Family Policies

Our class policies

  • Class expectations

What do I expect from your children? I expect your children to be children! They’re free to roam around the room, sit in your lap, participate, or not participate. As long as they’re safe, let them be, and allow them to experience the class in their own way. And what do I expect from the grownups? I have no expectations. Instead, I have an invitation. I invite you to sing with me, to move with me, and to have fun with me. Please participate fully to the extent you can safely!  You know your body, and if sitting and swaying with the beat are your comfort level, then we will meet you at that level! If we create an immersive, musical environment for the children, it will encourage the children to sing, move, and have fun with us.

  • Late arrivals

The hello song is always an important part of class so we do encourage you to be prompt, but we know sometimes tardiness is unavoidable. When you arrive join us quietly and we’ll be happy to greet you. If you think you’re going to be late send us a message if possible @ 603-919-2179. If you feel you will be more than 15 minutes late we recommend taking advantage of a make up classes.

  • Children Attending

Only registered children are allowed at class. Bringing children that are not your own is not allowed. Should a grandparent or other caregiver bring you child for a class, they may only bring your child to class.

  • Shoes

Shoes will be removed for classes, get those cozy socks ready! (we recommend non-slip, or even better grippy “trampoline park” style)

soft sole slippers can be great in the colder months too.

  • Arrival

Try to arrive 5-10 minutes early. For bathroom time/ getting prepared/ and chatting/socializing.

  • Phones and Small Talk

It's a digital word and it can be hard to silence our phones and our chatter and dial in completely to an activity with our kiddos. But believe me, lots of magic happens in our classes especially in the silence in between the songs. We ask that chatting be kept to a minimum, and are happy to offer recommendation of local library’s, coffee shops and playgrounds that could be great meet up locations with new Music Together® friends. Please silence and put away phones unless absolutely necessary. We know some things just can’t wait, should you need to take a call or message during class we ask that you step outside the room to do so and please bring your kiddo with you.

  • Items From Home

Stuffed animals, toys and personal items are not allowed in class. Please reach out to your teacher before the start of class if there are special circumstances you would like considered.

  • Photos

We get it, and we see it too! Your little one with that look of unbridled joy with the tambourine, yup we’d want to snap that photo to remember too!  However, we ask that photos not be taken during class, with the exception of our last week of the secession. And we ask that photos in class be just that, a brief moment captured and then back to the music!  Also please keep in mind to get any/all other caregivers permission before taking any photos with other little ones!

  • Safety Rules

No throwing of any hard item like sticks, eggs, instruments and such. Please keep a close eye out and keep kiddos within arms reach during these activities. Some items will involve tossing as part of our songs (such as scarves/parachute). Your teacher will be sure to let you known an item is ok to throw.

All songs/activities we do with sticks require all to remain seated. You are responsible for the safety of yourself, your child and others. Sticks are a favorite song time tag along, but we ask that you use them for their designated use only

For example: no lightsaber play, no twirling, no throwing and such. If you are concerned about your child with sticks please reach out to your teacher before hand.

No running, if your kiddos likes to run we ask you help them slow down during class,  or take a break if needed. It can be helpful to remind verbally just before class starts that running is not allowed. Please allow your child to roam free, but be alert. No area is truly child-proof  and you teacher may ask you to take a slow down break if concerned about safety.

  • Cancellations

Any class cancelled due to weather will be added to the end of scheduled weeks.

Unforeseen circumstances or personal reasons that cause us to cancel class will be added to the end of our scheduled weeks if possible, or refunds for the prorated amount will be issued.

  • Sick policy

If a child is visibly ill, your teacher has the right to ask you to schedule a make-up instead.

  • Withdrawals

Withdrawal requests from a registered class 10 day prior to the start will be refunded less a 15 processing fee.

Withdrawal less than 10 days from the start will incur a $50 processing fee.

Withdrawal after classes start will not receive a refund. Please reach out if there are extenuating circumstances.
